Microsoft will end up with Microsoft Points system

According to the information put forward by site The Verge, Microsoft is planning to drop its Microsoft Points system used mainly on their Xbox consoles. Apparently, a source close to production have revealed that Microsoft will replace the current Old School RS Goldsystem with a system of gift cards with real monetary value, something that has been tested with Windows 8, in which the company changed its virtual currency for real money. According to the source, the new cards will acquire real money that can be used to discharge the various contents that the producer has to offer. Still, normal transactions using credit cards will continue to be possible. The new system will be implemented in Microsoft Windows Store, Windows Phone Store and Xbox.
